{giveaway} Real Food, Healthy, Happy Children

A while back I mentioned that I went to the launch of the Real Food, Healthy, Happy Children – the low carb solution for the whole family book by Kath Megaw.

A lot of people are doing the low carb thing lately (I’ve been trying but pasta…) but what they’re not doing is including their kids. I’ve been guilty of this as well where I make a healthy meal for myself but then give in and let Fysh eat the 2 min noodles or pasta with cheese that he wants. And that’s not good cause the best time to instil healthy eating is right from the beginning, when they’re young and it becomes habit.

I’m lucky in the sense that Fysh generally eats what I do and I’ve never had a problem getting him to eat fruits and vegetables (just bananas). But when I made a few of the recipes from the book they were a HUGE hit! With both Fysh and The Person, Fysh actually asked to have the same thing a few nights in a row (we didn’t though). Hi favourite is to go through the book and look at all the pictures then pick something out and help me make it.

Eating low carb can be expensive but if you do it right and you consider all the Dr’s bills etc you’re saving on it’s really not so bad. We’ve been doing it on and off for a bit but now that I know my weight issues are meds related we’re being more conscious of what we’re eating and keeping bad things out the house.

So… I mentioned a giveaway!

You can win yourself a copy of this awesome book signed by all three authors, yup yup!
